One of the hardest sections to complete for CF Swords was this one. There is no easy way to illustrate the creation of a custom sword, the process is different for each piece. The cost of a blade can vary between 100 to 6000 dollars depending on the type, era or material desired. The handguard also varies greatly, between 70 to 1000 dollars. The average cost for a custom sword from CF Swords is about 3000 dollars. Keep in mind, this is just an estimate, depending on what exactly you are looking for. Obviously a display showpiece is going to cost less than a battle ready showpiece. To keep the process as simple as possible, look over some of the sample images below of the different types of blades and handguards to get an idea of what is available. Remember these are only to give you an idea, we have numerous suppliers, and it would be impossible to show an image of each item. Some items are so unique they are one of a kind and are purchased immediately for use.

What we have found the easiest, is to do our pieces by price range. Once you have an idea of the type of blade and handguard it is now time to complete your piece and design the handle or tsuka. This part is our signature and it is what gives CF Swords its name. Through our unique process the handle is bonded and becomes part of the blade making for a very solid piece. The material we use is dependent on whether the sword is a display showpiece or battle ready showpiece. The design itself is up to you. The handle can be made to look like a traditional katana, but most individuals want something more. The handle can be made to look like anything you can imagine. All we require is a basic sketch or idea of the handle and our design department can work from there. We then send it to you for final approval and it is then carved and cast onto your piece. Truly one of a kind and unique.
