By 1867 Japan saw the fall of the Tokugawa shogunate and the resulting Meiji Restoration brought waves of modernization to Japan, which banned the possession of katana as arms except only to the certain privileged classes that formed the new government. As a result the majority of ancient swordsmith had to be creative and they began to conceal the blade of the katana in simple walking sticks; and the soul of samurai lived on.

Our version of the guardless Double Dragon Sword for sale has an overall length of 46 inches that conceals two full length long sword katana. They each have a 26.5 inch hand polished stainless steel blade. The saya scabbard itself is adorned with handcarved dragon images as well as full metal cast caps at both ends where the katana swords enter the saya scabbard.
