In 1867 the Meiji Restoration banned possession of katana as arms except only to certain privileged class. As a result the ancient swordsmith began to conceal the blade of the katana in simple walking sticks and the soul of samurai lived on.
Our version of the Double Bladed Serpent Skull Katana has an overall length of 42 inches which conceals two full length katana. Each 19 inch hand polished stainless steel blade slides securely into the opposing handle creating one solid staff. The pommel and guard on each piece is fashioned with cast metal skulls with intertwined serpents.
