The Revolution of Online Martial Arts…Something is About to Happen!

Friday, December 24th, 2010

The boy perches in front of his computer, viewing karate fighting on youtube, googling kung vs karate, and generally perusing the various styles of martial arts...online martial arts. Many think he is spinning his wheels, but this couldn't be further from the truth. Something is about to happen that will elevate mankind, and push him into a new age.

Consider what the boy in front of the computer is doing. He is storing up energy. Yes, there is a certain parasitic exchange in this energy thing, but he is getting more than he is giving.

The watching of the fight causes muscles to twitch, installs synaptic responses that enervate the boy. The exhilaration of winning and losing causes the whole nervous system to move into a state of excitation. Most important, the images imprinted on the brain are an very personal tutorial.

Why do you think it is called programming? The programming is not in the computer, however except in the most remote of senses. The real programming is happening in the reality of the boy.

Excessive knowledge is being poured into his brain. He starts to know about all manner of things, and his education swells. He begins to mull over such things as Krav Maga, TaeKwonDo, Kenpo, and more.

The visions of Kung Fu techniques to be implemented becomes implemented in him. Within his psyche are the seeds to handle all manner of physical and non-physical confrontation. The next cycle of humanity is about to awaken.

This has already happened in history. It happened when mankind swarmed into the cities during the industrial revolution. When mankind released his energy at the end of that industrial upheaval the world was changed.

It occurred when mankind forced himself into television sets, and then exploded into the world with all manner of new ideas. It happened when humanity pushed itself into computers, and earth became a virtual conception of unlimited design. It is about to happen with this thing called online martial arts, when the boy pushes back his chair and goes to manifest what he has learned...and the world will change.

I'm sorry, but if you Mouse to Monster Martial Arts your life will never be the same.

Three Exercises you Can Do to Create Power Kicks

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

If you're obsessed like me, then you want powerful kicks that can knock a mule on its tail. Sure, high flying Taekwondo kicks are great, but I want to lift that mugger's body up and send it sailing. Period.

I've looked at a ton of training aids over the years, and some work, some don't, some are expensive, but none of them has worked as well as the good old basic training aid you can pick up for a buck or two down at the orchard supply store. The training aid is fairly compact, and can be replaced quickly and easily should it break. The training aid I am speaking of is the basic eight by eight by sixteen cinder block.

First exercise is to simply kick over the block. The reason you do this is to train yourself to get your knee high, which will allow you to drive a straighter line into your opponent's belly. You can easily stack the cinder blocks for different heights, and you can place them so you have to kick over them to strike a kicking bag.

Second exercise is to stand on one leg on the cinderblock and practice your kicks. This is going to build balance and strength. It is fun to do your kicks in the four directions, which will teach you to pivot quickly and easily.

Third exercise, you can put out four blocks in a square and start doing your forms on them. You can go around and around the blocks, reverse your direction, hop on and off, and your legs are going to get stronger and stronger and super stronger. Obviously, you're not going to have just powerful kicks, your stances and other movements are going to get more powerful.

Here are a couple of things you should know about when you do martial arts on cinder blocks. If the block should tip over, learn how to lift your legs up and search for a landing spot. Also, start with the blocks placed on side, practice a while, then stand them on end.

A cinder block weighs 29 pounds. That means you can take a couple of them, one in each arm, and do a little weight lifting. You can also, should you feel the urge, test your technique by smashing them with a foot or fist.

In closing, cinder blocks are the cheapest training device, and they can be used in various ways. Also, there are many different things you can do, which things are all basic and relate directly to strength and agility. Guaranteed, practice with these cheapies for a while and you will have mucho powerful kicks!

Five Things I Should have Known About the Martial Arts!

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

Okay, I've been doing the martial arts since mid last century. I've lived through judo in the fifties, karate in the sixties, kung fu in the seventies, and stick fighting and shadow warriors and the UFC, and I've analyzed durn near every art there is. I've made up a list of things that I should have known before I started.

The point here is that classes were where you worked out, and not where you talked. However, and it was years before I realized it, the reason a lot of people didn't talk was because they didn't know anything. So are you ready for things you should know before you start the martial arts.

I wish people would have told me that pain hurts, and if I had known the truth about pain it wouldn't have hurt so darn much. The pain of a block, for instance, can go either go into the blocker or into the striker, depending upon which person has more intention. It's not a matter of tough, its a matter of which way you want the energy to go, and the energy will go in the direction of the superior mind.

I wish somebody would have told me what the purpose of my body parts was for. Why it matters how you angle your bones and structure, and why it matters which side of the bone the muscle is on. For that matter, maybe somebody should have just told me I had a head and I could think with it!

This matter of how a body works could have made my progress thought the martial arts ten times easier and quicker if somebody had explained that all the parts had to work as one unit. This is a thing called harmony, and when the body parts all work harmoniously then intention can flow through the body and make it ten times more efficient. What is the ratio of muscle to body part, how much does each part weigh, how far does each body part have to move, how much effort is required for each body part.

Speaking of harmony, if somebody had explained that it was not just harmony within your body, but harmony that was outside your body, then I would have had a ten times easier life. Heck, getting along with your fellow man takes all the tussle out of life. And the truth of love your enemy wold have made me a real martial artist of quality and magnitude.

Probably the most important thing somebody could have told me would have been to work harder. Heck, if I had worked harder I would have gotten to the end faster, maybe even gotten further, maybe even learned more! The point here is that I could have learned all the things that I eventually figured out faster, and then I wouldn't be griping about all the things that I should have been told.

Ah, the things I didn't know, they were so great, but, at last I know them. Even more important, you know them, so you don't have to be slow or stupid or lazy or things like that! Unless, of course, you want to pretend that I didn't say anything.

Al Case has learned the martial arts 40 years. He began writing for the magazines in'81 and has written hundreds of articles, and had a column in Inside Karate. He is the originator of Matrixing Technology and Neutronics. He is giving away a free ebook which explains all about Matrixing at Monster Martial Arts.
