Wavemaster Training Bag – Wavemaster Review
The Wavemaster Training Bag by Century Fitness is their number one selling original freestanding training bag model and recently reduced in price making it extremely affordable. You no longer need to ruin your ceiling installing mounting brackets or have a partner steady the bag after each impact when you use this revolutionary Wavemaster product. It was designed to provide optimal resistance and rapid rebound and you can practice both kicks and punches because it has 8 different height adjustments between approximately 4 and 6 feet. Setting it up is also easy because it features a flexible polyethylene hollow rounded base which weighs approximately 250 pounds after you fill with either sand or water for stability. The striking surface is made of high impact foam with a durable vinyl cover and the product is USA made.

I have owned this item for about 5 years and it is still going strong. I use it for about 20 to 45 minutes a day about 4 or 5 times a week with both bare knuckle and with gloves. I primarily do boxing workouts but it has seen its fair share of kicks, knees and elbows and never seen a tear or a worn spot.
The padding is about 4 inches thick and beneath is a solid plastic ring that allows you to adjust the height. This is also what keeps it from getting worn spots like a regular punching bag.
You can fill the base with water or sand, and I have never filled it up all the way, but its pretty stable. If you cannot use a hose and have it inside you can make a funnel by cutting the bottom off of a 2 litre coke bottle and running back and forth to the bath tub with milk jugs.
